2 1/2 weeks since the last post. I can do better!
Just wrapped up a project in hopes that it could be submitted to Siggraph, but the recent LA weather had other ideas in mind, taking down the internet of our Fearless Leader so that the cloud render farm wasn’t usable. I’m really happy with what I learned in my work, but a little disappointed that I won’t be able to show much of it until later. The render looks fanTABulous and becomes a character in the story. In the meantime, I do have permission to send my playblasts to recruiters, but not to put it on YouTube or the like, even with a password.
C’est la vie. Just means these next weeks I need to create animations that reflect what I’ve learned. Meanwhile, I’m taking 3 life drawing classes at AAI (the instructional branch of the Animation Guild), so hopefully I’ll kick those skills into high gear.
